Hyundai has redesigned and and increased the size of its Sonata sedan for 2006. The standard power-train features a more powerful 4 cylinder or 3.3 liter V-6 engine.
Transmissions include 4-speed or 5-speed automatic w/OD or 5-speed manual w/OD. The interior seats up to 5 with 60/40 rear seat that folds down. The trunk size is 16 percent larger. Safety features include
side-impact airbags for the front seats, side curtain-type airbags, active front head restraints, traction control and Electronic Stability Control. MSRP $17,895 to $22,895.
