    2006 Promises to be an exciting year for the introduction of new sports cars from leading auto manufacturers worldwide. New sports car models are coming out from BMW, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Dodge, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Pontiac and Porsche. Dodge will re-introduced the new 2006 Dodge Charger which is a much tamer version of the original, even though it features a new Hemi power-train. Many of the 2005 sports cars will retain their same body styles for 2006. Cadillac will be introducing two new V-Series models with super charged 440 V-8 engines. There new CTS body styles have become very popular with a new generation of car enthusiasts. Chevy is bringing back the Z06 Corvette and offering 500hp performance. I am guessing gas mileage will not be an issue with this car. Pontiac is offering the new 2006 Solstice hoping to capture the popular small roadster market. Porshe introduces the new Cayman S with a more powerful engine than the original Boxter. Below are some of the new sports cars for 2006.

2006 BMW M5
New body style in a sedan with V-10 engine boasting over 500 hp
2006 Cadillac STS
Cadillac is launching the new STS-V for 2006. Powered by a supercharged 440-horsepower V-8 this Cadillac is not for the older crowd anymore.
2006 Chrysler Crossfire
The German-built 2006 Crossfire comes with an optional supercharged Mercedes-Benz AMG engine, along with upgraded suspension and bodywork. Available as coupe or roadster, it now features a fixed rear wing. WOW!!
2006 Corvette Z06
6th generation Corvette body style with 7.0 liter 500hp engine and 6 speed transmission. All this on an all aluminum body.
2006 Dodge Charger
Dodge re-introduces the Charger with an all new V-6 and V-8 Hemi power-train. Instead of the tradional coupe, Dodge has decided to revive this car as a sedan.
2006 Ford Mustang Shelby Cobra GT500
Ford teams up with Carroll Shelby once again to bring back the GT500. This awesome ride guarantees attention.
2006 Pontiac Solstice
For 2006 Pontiac introduces an affordable and stylish 2 seat roadster called the Solstice. Features include a 177hp 4-cylinder engine and 5-speed manual transmission.
2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse
Mitsubishi's 2006 Eclipse coupe enters its fourth generation with a restyling the company calls futuristic. same for 2006. This car is also available in a roadster body style.
2006 Porsche Cayman
Porshe introduces the more powerful 295 flat 6 power train in its new Cayman S body style. Design is based on the popular Boxter S.
