Route 66 in Oklahoma is also known as 69 alt., 60 & 69, 77, 270, 281 spur, Business I-40, "frontage road", State Highway 66.......well, you get the picture. Trying to follow Route 66 using a standard road map just won't work. And although there are a lot of the Historic Route 66 markers all along the Road, there never seem to be quite enough of them, thanks to misguided collectors, vandals, and the Oklahoma winds.
